walk into beauty

Last night was the perfect night for a walk out my Dad and Marla Kay's back door... we live just through the woods, but don't have access to the flats like they do.. it's SOOOO beautiful here.  Our boys were spending the night with a friend, so it was just the younger four kiddos this night.  It was a lovely evening. 

We got the okay to share pictures of Little Man online!  We're not sharing his first name in this forum though until his adoption finalizes... so Little Man it is!  He is such a joy, and is doing so well these past 6 days since he transitioned into our home.  He has been easy-going with it all, and now reaches for me when someone else is holding him.  Win!  He crawls after me too, which I love, and knows he's loved by us so much.  These are all very positive steps in the right direction toward his attachment and bonding to us!  We're so thankful.

Just after we left this area with the huge patch of iris and got back up to the house, mrs. moose wandered out of the woods!  I'm glad it was after we got back to the house, because it was a mama moose with her baby nearby.

We're hoping for many more beautiful nights to enjoy the great outdoors right in our backyard.
